I have lived here all my life and would recommend it as a quite town for those going to college here!

I have lived here my whole life but I love it to a certain extent. San Angelo is a medium size town which has it’s advantages, it’s good for the college and makes students life easier when needing helping academically but out of school there isn’t much to do for fun.

San Angelo is wonderful! It is so beautiful and it has lots of things to do outdoors. It is very green and the people are so sweet. It is definitely a great place to start a family and settle down.

There is not a lot to do as a teenager in the San Angelo area. I do like however how there are plenty of community service opportunities in the area with little competition as there are plenty of spots to be filled.

As a younger crowd speaking a university city i would like to see things added more towards our liking like nightlife clubs to mall selection or as a former ASU students the parking space sucks and wish that it was bigger.

My experience living in San Angelo for 17 years now it is safe. there are things to go do to entertain you and your family the nightlife isn't too crazy. it has many job opportunities and it a pretty diverse and most of the people hear are very polite.

San Angelo is a friendly and welcoming town in West Texas. Coming from a big city in South Texas, this change has been a big one but overall so great and beneficial. The vibes around town are more open and the people are so much more inviting. The schools are clean and safe. I feel safe walking around the town and downtown, even at night and early morning. There are many local restaurants so the town is not saturated with fast food chains and for a small town like this, it has a good many options. There are local places to have fun with your family and a whole shopping center dedicated to bowling, arcade games, movies, etc. In this town, I have never been homesick for where I grew up. I feel welcome and part of the community. It's clean when you drive around there is no trash or litter, even in the busy or less financially fortunate areas. The parks around town are amazing and offer cultural exhibits and activities. The international lily pond and river is so beautiful and well-kept.

Coming from the Northeast, I can say that San Angelo is a pretty town, but I do like that in most suburbs there are trees. I love the commute time, it has a few good grocery stores with good gluten free and vegan options. The library system is very good, it has a small Greek Orthodox Church and every other kind of Christian church one can imagine. I don't know how active the synagogue is. It's a good place to raise a family for the most part. However, it doesn't have sidewalks in most areas for easy walking around the town, though it does have a walking trail around the arroyo. Water is an issue, and the quality of the tap water is highly questionable. I won't even give it to my pets. Nightlife is limited, and much of the dining is of the steak and Mexican food variety. Healthy eating can be difficult at times. It does have a good selection of less healthy options, though. There is a small town feel, but we are getting close to 100,000 people, so it really isn't a small town.

San Angelo Texas is in a region of West Texas known as “Last Verde” or last green before entering the desert oil fields of the permian basin. The city has a military prescience, Goodfellow AFB as well as a abundance of large medical facilities operated by Shannon Medical throughout the city limits. The people, mostly born and raised there, are extremely friendly polite and warm. This was a chosen place for myself as an implant not being originally from San Angelo. I served in the U.S. Army for 20 plus years and was medically retired due to combat injuries sustained during my service in support of the Global War on Terror (GWOT). The atmosphere, calmness of the city and easy laid back lifestyle makes it an oasis for myself in living my life after being a soldier.

The vast majority of the people here are pretty friendly, there are also a lot of bigots but I can't say that there are more than in any other city in Texas. there's a nice local art scene here, lots of good food places, and the parks are pretty. Unfortunately, there isnt much else to do besides going to restaurants and the movies.

San Angelo has many of the same opportunities of a big city without the traffic, construction, and crime of the city. The people are friendly and helpful.
San Angelo's job market is a bit of an island, and therefore, the current wages are not competitive with similar size towns and the cost of living is rising due to the proximity to the oilfield.

I grew up in San Angelo and its my home, the saying home is where the heart is really does apply. It's had it's scary moment's and although it's a retirement "town", it is now evolving. I wish they had more for families to do though.

San Angelo is a great place to live. I like the old retirement town vibe because nothing ever happens here. Feels like a safe community to grow up here as i did. I would love to see more restaurants and fixed roads though!

This town is amazing, it is not to small and it is just big enough for a college town to be successful.

Nothing much to do here. It's really small town. Since it is really small town, there are not much job oppurtunities here. If you work healthcare, it's little better.
